Lying in the central region of Malta is the astounding town of Santa Venera. The town is situated between the busy localities of Birkirkara, Hamrun, Qormi and Msida, and houses almost 9000 inhabitants. Santa Venera used to be a part of Birkirkara, but in 1918 it became entirely independent. The most well-known landmark of the town are the Wignacourt Aqeducts which stretch throughout the locality.
